Jill Scott's Pretoria and Cape Town concerts on 7 and 11 November are cancelled. Showtime Management says ticket holders get automatic refunds.
Jill Scott’s planned South African concerts have been cancelled, with the promoter confirming that ticket holders will receive automatic refunds.
Showtime Management announced the cancellation of the South African leg of Scott’s To Whom This May Concern tour, citing “unforeseen circumstances”. The affected shows were scheduled for SunBet Arena at Time Square in Pretoria on 7 November and the Grand Arena at GrandWest in Cape Town on 11 November. Ticketmaster South Africa now marks both events as cancelled.
The South African dates had been billed as a two-city arena run. Ticketmaster’s official listings show an 8pm start time for both concerts, and both listings now carry the same cancelled status.
The promoter said all ticket holders would receive a full refund automatically and should watch the email inbox linked to their booking. No separate refund request is required for purchases made through the official ticketing platform.
According to information issued with the cancellation notice, refunds are expected to reflect within five to 10 business days. Customers whose original payment method is no longer valid will be contacted directly so that alternative arrangements can be made.
No replacement dates have been announced. Showtime Management said it was exploring the possibility of bringing Scott back to South Africa in future, but the current Pretoria and Cape Town bookings will not go ahead. Until a new announcement is made through the artist, promoter or an authorised ticketing platform, the November dates are cancelled rather than postponed.
The 2026 tour takes its name from To Whom This May Concern, Scott’s sixth studio album. The promoter has not offered a more detailed reason beyond unforeseen circumstances.
For now, Scott’s planned November return to Pretoria and Cape Town is off, while any future South African visit remains unconfirmed.
